Seborrheic keratoses are common, benign skin growths that appear in middle aged individuals and can arise as early as adolescence. Male and female are equally affected. The tendency to develop seborrheic keratoses is often inherited. These spots grow slowly, are not caused by sunlight and do not become malignant. Seborrheic keratoses begin as slightly raised, grey or light brown spots with gradual thickening and take on a rough, warty surface and slowly darken.
Treatment Options:
Seborrheic Keratoses causes cosmetic issue but they are harmless and do not require treatment. If desired, it can be removed with radiofrequency ablation or carbon dioxide laser removal can be done.
